As a nationally recognized expert in compensation and benefits, I founded Murphy Strategy Group to expand my scope and help clients transform HR Operations. With deep experience as a senior compensation and benefits executive for a Fortune 250 company, I offer clients expertise in corporate benefits and compensation. As a six-year board member of the Health Transformation Alliance, I have hands-on knowledge in healthcare transformation, including necessary technology solutions for vendors and employers.


I have a track record of providing innovative approaches, using analytics, and disrupting norms to tackle complex problems. As senior vice president for compensation and benefits for Lincoln Financial Group, I developed an innovative benefits strategy that saved employees and the company more than $150 million. I also initiated a creative communications approach called “Moments that Mattered,” which featured the faces and voices of employees, improving employee engagement during a pandemic.

  

· Substantial experience working with Boards of Directors and Compensation Committees

· Recognized as having a business approach to Human Resources by Executive Teams 

· In-depth experience designing and implementing executive compensation systems, including changing an annual incentive program, led to 5 Vendor of the Year citations. 

· Developed strategies and designs of innovative Benefit programs that improved health outcomes while saving firms above $250 million

· Linking change initiatives to Human Resource programs with accelerated results 

· Design of workforce differentiation strategies that integrate talent, performance, and reward management 

· Design and implementation of innovative competency, executive, and team-based pay programs, which improved productivity at a minimum of 10%

· Outsourced strategies that streamlined Human Resource Administration, achieving a minimum 20% decrease in cost while improving the delivery of services at three firms.

· Led HR team in the evaluation of over 75 mergers and acquisitions


As a car and truck enthusiast, I like fixing things both on and off the job. At work, I see problems quickly and solve them with out-of-the-box approaches that support the organization’s business strategy. At home, my penchant for problem solving is fueled by anything with a motor, including ownership in a business that restores trucks.
